Case Study – Adelaide Airport ASR for SA Water
Adelaide Airport ASR
The Adelaide Airport Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) is a stormwater harvesting system within Brown Hill Creek along the Southern boundary of Adelaide Airport. The stormwater is distributed along the perimeter of the Airport with a number of bores and storage tanks for water retention before being extracted for irrigation and other non-potable purposes when required.
APC Integration provided the Electrical, Control & SCADA design as well as the installation and commissioning of the system.
The installation consisted of an Allen Bradley CompactLogix system connected to remote IO located at the bores and treatment sites. Local control was provided via push buttons and a 10 inch panel view plus touchscreen with 3G connectivity to the SA Water iFix SCADA system for remote monitoring.
